Free and Fun Activities in Toronto During the Holidays
Living in such a big city can make it hard to know what’s available to do over the holidays. Here’s my list of the top activities to see and do that are all (mostly) free!
- The Distillery Winter Village
The Distillery District’s Winter Village is back again here in Toronto until December 31 and is free on Mondays and Wednesdays. There are all sorts of winter and holiday things to see and do, like the big Dior Christmas tree and the viral s’mores hot chocolate. There are some new additions as well like the new North Pole Post and indoor Santa’s Village.

- Stackt Market Holiday Hills
Stackt Market runs yearlong but they’ve brought us something special during this holiday season. Visit Stackt’s Holiday Hills for fun pop-ups until December 29. Entrance is free.

- Skating at Nathan Phillips Square
A Torontonian-favourite activity is to skate at Nathan Phillips Square. It is free if you bring your own skates and is open from November 30 until January 7, so there’s lots of time to go if you are still interested.

- Winterfest Harbourfront
Harbourfront is beautiful anytime of year but especially so during the holidays with its Winterfest. It’s open until January 5 with free entry. There is skating, food, the Winter Express Train Ride and more!
